High-volume Uncrustables production line experience at J.M. Smucker. In one 12-hour shift one line can produce up to 250,000 Uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

"Broken" Motor

As a Production Technician, I had the opportunity to observe the maintenance culture at Smuckers, or dare I say lack of. Preventative maintenance and maintaining equipment should never go to the wayside. The mount obviously failed but not properly fixing this failure is certain to lead to bearing failure, putting this piece of equipment out of service, in conjunction leading to production line downtime and loss of revenue.
